Our methods

Although we are trained in PRINCE2 and other traditional project management methodologies, A2D predominately use iterative methods, using our leadership abilities to their full potential. In recent times, many more companies and businesses are transferring to using these methods and finding the results to be highly positive. The AGILE values have been proven to increase team performance and output, create a more versatile project and improve customer satisfaction. From our experience with using AGILE and DSDM concepts, our CEO has developed a tried and tested methodology that works: CALM.

Firstly, we take Control of the situation in all aspects. A2D takes full ownership of the problem; personally embedding a member of our team within your company to establish why and how things are going wrong. We prioritise and use business intelligence to ensure control and governance is established throughout planning to delivery.

Next we Assess. With clear communication and a calm manner, we define the problem, and assess what solution is required. A2D is passionate about getting the challenge right first time, and therefore we are meticulous in our work.  Alongside this, we also look at the wider impact to the business, especially with regards to reputation and risk which, if handled incorrectly or dismissed, can have a hugely detrimental effect on the business. This is something that in-house project managers are sometimes unable to do. Throughout this stage we provide the project owner with a variety of options and solutions that are specifically designed for the business.

We then provide Leadership. A specialist and innate trait that is what truly makes the difference. It is here that our project management experts lead a team; motivating and inspiring to ensure the best possible outcome. Even through small failures whilst in the testing process, our leadership expert will continue to strive towards success and see failure as a first attempt in learning. Through consistent feedback and evaluation, the best possible solution will be found and enable business success.

The final part, Management. At A2D we know and understand that maintenance of a project and implementing continued improvement can be difficult. As well as taking away lessons learnt to use in other business departments or to create operational standardisation, management of the project must be constant. Plans must be made to continue to improve the product or system, and keep customer satisfaction. A2D will aid with the management of maintenance and exit strategies.
